Spanish Villa California Wedding Venue

The Authentic Storytellers

This charming California villa wedding venue pulled out all the stops for this fantastic couple that we adore. At the beginning of the planning stages, Kenna and Brock got the short end of the stick like many couples trying to plan a wedding during COVID times. These two had a destination wedding planned in Hawaii for September 2021 with full hopes they would have no interruptions to their big day. Unfortunately, six days prior to the event, the governor of Hawaii shut down the state.

After dealing with fluctuating covid restrictions, they didn’t skip a beat and made their wedding happen. Did we mention with all new vendors in just five days!! Their love and commitment to getting married did not stop them from seeing it through. The joy expressed at their wedding, seeing something they’ve longed for come to life just said it all.

The villa wedding venue

Kenna and Brock landed on a La Jolla wedding venue called Villa Francesca Events. The space is actually a historic home turned villa wedding venue that was built in 1928. It has a mix of Spanish and Mediterranean influences that gives any wedding some old-world charm with a modern twist. Nestled in the quaint town of La Jolla in San Diego, this villa is surrounded by lush gardens and the coastal breeze. What makes this California destination so special is that the owner, Francesca herself, has put her heart and soul into the property through handmade tiles, custom mosaics, a koi pond, plus some stunning seasonal gardens.

A glimpse into their offerings

The layout of the space is like having an intimate backyard event with the class of an upscale wedding venue. Villa Francesca also comes with a state-of-the-art kitchen. It’s truly any caterer’s dream so you know the food will be fresh and feel like a home-cooked meal. They provide an enclosed garden and lawn with custom tiled steps for a fantastic bridal entrance. After the ceremony, your guests will move into a pergola-covered, Spanish-styled backyard. Additionally, newly constructed ocean-view apartments called, The Casita, are available for your stay.

This La Jolla wedding venue offers multiple packages catered to your desired type of event. With four options to choose from: The Nico, The Chesa, The Anna, and The Francesca, all are made to fit your needs. They find that some couples prefer a complete weekend stay and others just a ceremony event. One of the packages even includes a one-night stay in their personalized apartment with options of nearby stays for guests. One thing to keep in mind is that this venue is really meant for small weddings as they only accommodate 30 guests. A big pro is the option to include in-house wedding planning and floral design vendors. If you are envisioning a charming California wedding venue to host your closest family and friends, Villa Francesca Events has you covered.
